The primary function of the under drain V wire system is to evenly distribute the flow of treated water through the filter bed while preventing the loss of filter media. It serves as a support structure for the filter media, such as sand, gravel, or activated carbon, ensuring uniform distribution of water and facilitating efficient filtration. Additionally, the under drain system helps in collecting and evenly distributing backwash water during the cleaning process.
